The students and teachers of the Midsummer Sound Festival will be performing at the Barrie Farmers’ Market on July 8. Based in Midhurst, Midsummer Sound is a festival taught by graduates from Juilliard, Yale, the University Western Ontario, and the University of Toronto. They instruct, mentor and perform alongside a group of young musicians aged 6 to 22. Come out to support this inspiring summer course and enjoy a mix of music for violin, piano, guitar, voice, cello, and viola.

The Barrie Farmers’ Market keeps bringing fresh local goodness to Mulcaster Street all the way through October. Stop in between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and meet your local farmers, producers, chefs, bakers, and artisans, then wander downtown to take in the waterfront. See you Saturday!
