By late October, autumn is truly upon us and it’s usually getting chilly, which means this is our last Saturday outside. To mark the end of the outdoor market season, help us help those people who need warm clothes and a warm place to rest. At our final outdoor market of the year we’re filling the van for the David Busby Street Centre.

Since 1993, the David Busby Street Centre has been operating as a drop-in centre in downtown Barrie, providing a warm, safe environment for homeless or marginalized people, low-income families, the working poor, youth in distress and seniors who are struggling financially. 

Be sure to check out the David Busby Street Centre’s website, which has a wish list of items that can help make a difference. Bring a donation with you to the market on October 29 and help us help those in need.

The Barrie Farmers’ Market is committed to supporting the local community and that includes supporting local growers, farmers, producers, bakers, chefs and artisans. We bring you fresh local goodness every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Barrie City Hall.
