Community Safety Day

July 27, 2019 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Are you a sports parent or coach, teacher, recreation worker, community volunteer, or just someone who wants to know more about what to do in an emergency medical situation? Would you like your kids to learn some basic life saving skills to make emergency situations less scary? Then come out to Community Safety Day at the Barrie Farmers’ Market to get free training and safety information and to talk to people from your local emergency services.

With a SaveStation now installed on Mulcaster Street outside City Hall, it’s the perfect time to learn how to use the AED or automated external defibrillator. We’re happy to have Action First Aid of Barrie at the market on July 27 to provide free CPR training and to show us how to use the public access defibrillator when an emergency happens.

Barrie Police, Simcoe County Paramedic Services, the Canadian Red Cross Society, and the Simcoe Muskoka Drowning Prevention Alliance will also be on site with lots of useful information and giveaways.
