Missy Bauman & Andrew Nunno Performing
August 12, 2017 @ 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
You’re in for a treat on August 12. Throughout the morning you’ll be able to enjoy music from alternative folk artist Missy Bauman. She has performed for audiences across Ontario, mixing psychedelic pop with her small town charm. At the age of 17, Missy was one of the youngest winners in Hamilton Music Award history to win “Best New Artist.” A graduate of Seneca’s Independent Music Production program, she has shared stages with musical greats including Feist, the Arkells, Bahamas, Kathleen Edwards, and Gordon Lightfoot – all before the age of 21.
Here’s a little taste of what to expect.
Providing breaks throughout the morning will be Andrew Nunno from Owen Sound. Andrew creates beautiful euphoric guitar parts that relax behind the beat. Andrew was one of the winners of the summer folk discoveries competition in 2013. He has been featured on Rogers television in Owen Sound and Barrie, and he performed a live session on CFOS and The Dock Radio.
Take advantage of local food, plants, and artisan products every Saturday, all year long at the Barrie Farmers’ Market. The market keeps bringing fresh local goodness to Mulcaster Street all the way through October. Stop in between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. and meet your local farmers, producers, chefs, bakers, and artisans, then wander downtown to take in the waterfront. See you Saturday!
