On October 1, join the dozens of growers, farmers, producers, chefs, and artisans of the Barrie Farmers’ Market to celebrate the bounty of the local harvest. Harvest Day will feature great food and activities for the whole family, including children’s crafts with the MacLaren Art Centre, and a chance to win a basket full of local produce by guessing the weight of the gnarliest squash you’ve ever seen. Bring your sturdiest shopping bags, lots of enthusiasm, and prepare to make the most of the season.
