It’s the most bountiful time of the year. Help the growers, farmers and food producers of the Barrie Farmers’ Market celebrate Harvest Day on September 16. Here’s what we have in store for you:
- Guess the Weight of the Squash – 25 cents per guess and whoever guesses the closest without going over wins a MASSIVE harvest basket full of produce, prepared foods, and other goodies from the market’s vendors.
- Face painting and balloons for the kids – Stop by the Bling Face Painting tent for some family fun
- Drawing classes – from Marshall Geddes of The Drawing House
- Live music from local singer-guitarist Jeremiah Hill
Also stop by the FruitShare Barrie booth to find out all about the work they’re doing to collect fruit and vegetables from local gardens to support social services agencies like the Barrie Food Bank.
